ICYMI: Inside Elections Shifts Race in Coleman’s Favor

Knightdale, NC – On Friday afternoon, Inside Elections’ Nathan Gonzales shifted NC-02 in Linda Coleman’s favor, a sign that Congressman George Holding is becoming more vulnerable in this November’s election.

“I have been simply overwhelmed by the groundswell of support we’ve seen from voters across the 2nd district. This movement in our race confirms what we’ve known from day 1: George Holding has failed our families — and North Carolina voters are eager to elect new leaders who will finally listen to them and fight for them in Washington,” Linda Coleman said.

Inside Elections now rates NC-02 “Likely Republican,” shifted from “Safe Republican.” Click here to view the full ratings change from Inside Elections.

Linda Coleman, the Democratic nominee for North Carolina’s 2nd congressional district, is a native North Carolinian who has dedicated her life to public service. She began her public service career as a teacher and went on to serve the state of North Carolina as a Human Resources Director for several state agencies including Department of Administration, Department of Agriculture, and the NC Community College System. Her elected offices include Wake County Commissioner and three terms in the North Carolina General Assembly. After her tenure in the General Assembly, Linda was appointed to serve the state’s workforce as the Director of the Office of State Personnel.
